Shahid further explained to Karan Johar that after his break up with Kareena around two years back, he has been doing things which he loves doing and not to please anyone else (read Kareena Kapoor).
In a revealing mood, Shahid Kapur also told Karan Johar that earlier he would always be told what to do and what not to do, but now there was no such pressure from any quarters. Meanwhile, Shahid Kapur’s ‘Chance Pe Dance’ opposite Genelia D’souza opened in theatres today.
The revelation by Shahid Kapur on Karan Johar’s show has shocked the industry as it was earlier assumed that Shahid and Kareena Kapoor were ideal lovers and never had any problems between them(of course, till the time Kareena got besotted with Saif Ali Khan on the sets of Yashraj Films’ ‘Tashan’ in Ladakh).
In fact, a section of the industry is looking at Shahid Kapur’s outbursts against Kareena Kapoor as his reaction to him being snubbed by Kareena at a recent award function. Sources point out to the timing of his outburst and say that if that was not the case, Shahid Kapur would not have kept mum for so long to express his views on Bebo.
Earlier, Kareena Kapoor had snubbed Shahid Kapur at an award function when they crossed each other’s paths. While Shahid Kapur did notice Kareena passing by his side and also looked back with surprise, Kareena Kapoor chose to ignore him and pretended to be too occupied to even notice that Shahid Kapur was there in the vicinity.
On the same show, Shahid Kapur also made it clear that his fling with hot Priyanka Chopra was a thing of past and he was no longer with her. Earlier, they were reportedly dating each other after working together in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Kaminey’.
The handsome hunk also proclaimed that he (Shahid Kapur) was single and not dating any cutie from bollywood or outside. In fact, he went a step further and jokingly said that he was available for his female fan followers, if they chose to mingle with him.
