Aamir Khan PEEPLI LIVE gets A certificate due to foul language!!

Aamir Khan, the perfectionist star of biggies like Rajkumar Hirani’s  ‘3 Idiots’, is all set to come with his home production ‘Peepli Live’ starring Raghuveer Yadav in the lead.

However, Aamir Khan is facing problems with regard to movie as the censor board has refused to give it a universal viewer ship certificate ‘U’ due to its objectionable language. Sources close to production house say that the board wanted Aamir Khan to delete some sequences which had not-so-decent language used by the characters or accept the ‘A’ certificate for the film. The gutsy Khan chose the latter path and kept the scene intact, while accepting the adults only tag from the board.

In fact, Aamir Khan was in a dilemma in this regard. If he had accepted the Censor Board’s dictate, he would have compromised with the quality and narration of the subject, as the film was set in a small village where villagers did not use much sophisticated language. It was during the filming of these sequences in the village that such language had to be used. The film has been directed by Anusha Rizvi.

Though censor Board granted the film ‘A’ certificate, ‘Aamir Khan’s production ‘Peepli Live’ has already been made the official entry of the country in Sudan’s Film Festival. Though made on a small budget, the film has been crating enough buzz in the festival circuit.

The story of ‘Peepli Live’ revolves around the life of a farmer, movingly played by Raghuveer Yadav. The farmer is fed up with life and announces the exact date on which he will be committing suicide. The announcement creates a media frenzy and journalists throng to the small village in droves to cover the incident live.

Though, ‘Peepli Live’ is a dark comedy from Aamir Khan’s production house, but it also throws light on the wretched life of a farmer, who does not have any other means to support him.

Besides ‘Peepli Live’, Aamir Khan is also producing ‘Dhobi Ghaat’, which is being directed by his wife Kiran Rao. Pratik Babbar plays lead in the film, Aamir Khan has a cameo. The movie is being shot at different locations of Mumbai.

Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao will be making her directorial debut with ‘Dhobi Ghaat’. The lady is said to  be very strong willed and does not tolerate Aamir Khan’s interference in her directorial venture.
